They are required to put in a total of 8 hours of environmental community service as a requirement for biology. This may all be done at one time but they must work a minimum of 2 hours per quarter. They also need to have an adult verify that they have put in the time by signing a Westby High School Community Service Form which will be put on file in guidance office. This service should be performed with the idea of making the earth a cleaner place. Examples of work that should be completed include: cleaning up road side ditches, parks, lakes, rivers, and ponds. Whenever possible, please try to recycle what you collect. Work not on this list should be approved by Mr. Lallas ahead of time. Don't forget to snap a few pictures if you have your camera handy for a little extra credit! Make sure you fill out the Community Service Form. It is your responsibility to keep track of your time, so make copies of your form for insurance. | ||
