I have been researching Damascus Steel since 1976
and continue to develop new directions every day in the studio.
I have spent many years researching Japanese swordsmithing techniques,
the non ferrous technique of mokume-gane, and European pattern
welded gun barrels. My art forms are a combination of European
and Asian influence. My love of nature and biomorphic forms has
been influenced by Japanese philosophy and Shinto concepts.
