Our daughter named this doeling after the loveable teddy bear book Corduroy, written and illustrated by Don Freeman.
GOAT DETAIL
PRAIRIE DAIRIE RFF CORDUROY 1*M
Black and White, DOB: 3/2014
This doe reminds us a lot of her paternal granddam Maia. She is considerably smooth overall, with a good balance of strength and open dairy ribbing and a solid level rump. She is long for her size as well, and really stands out as a strong and long lamancha. Her foreudder extends considerably far forward and is nice and smooth. Her udder overall has great width and height. She aims to please, and always meets us at the gate. She won Reserve Champion Junior Doe at the 2015 Badger State Show. She milked very well as a first freshener, but unfortunately she had a teat injury that's left things a little uneven. She's taking 2018 off, and we're hoping things even out in the end. Corduroy is a smooth and solid smaller bodied doe that represents everything we like about lamanchas.
