GOAT DETAIL
PRAIRIE DAIRIE LSE JONI
WHITE DOE, DOB: 4/2017
This doeling was a favorite as soon as she hit the ground (if not before)! Joni is a wonderful combination of Northwest breeding. Her dam is Barnowl Aglaea, our Elite yearling milker. Aglaea is a lovely young doe that packs quite a punch, but could have had more time to mature before her first freshening. Regardless, Aglaea freshened with a beautiful udder, earned her SG award, and surprised us by being named an ELITE doe. Joni's maternal granddam, Aurelia, is one of our favorite does from the Barnowl herd. Aurelia is a long, dairy, angular doe with great feet and legs, and a smooth level topline. She shines in the show ring, and earned each of her championship legs at State Fairs in the Pacific Northwest. Joni's maternal grandsire is Barnowl Copperfield, who is known for throwing powerful, sharp, and level offspring with impeccable udders.
Joni's sire is Lucky*Star's RA Errol, who we leased in 2016. His kids have been exceptional, as are his relatives. His dam is the famous Lucky*Star's LOT Vivian, one of a handful of 94 appraising does. Vivian shows well, milks well, and has aged well. Her lifetime is 2893 days in milk, 26,520lbs milk, with 4.4% butterfat and 3.4% protein! She has been on the top ten list several times.
Joni was kept a dry yearling for 2018. We wanted to give her plenty of time to grow and mature before her first freshening, and she is looking great. She is carrying on her mom's long level topline, she is very structurally correct, and has improved strength overall coming from her sire's side. 2019 will be an exciting year!
