The CCV Blues traveled to Rochester to face the Rochester Blues on Thursday.
CCV broke a 2-2 tie with 4 runs in the top of the 9th inning to defeat the
Rochester Blues 6-2. Andy Hoff pitched a strong 7 innings allowing 5 hits while
striking out 8. Sam Henriksen got the win in relief, pitching 2 scoreless innings.
The Blues cracked out 11 hits, led by Adam Wershofen, Ryan Manske, Andy
Tolvstad, Bobby Raasch and Aaron Martin with 2 hits apiece.

The Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues were on the road again to face Schofield
Everest in a doubleheader on Saturday. The Blues won the first game 7-1
on the strong right arm of Nick Jones and an 11 hit attack. Leading CCV at
the plate were Adam Wershofen with 2 doubles. Ryan Niedfeldt, Aaron Martin
and Kevin Wagner each had two hits for the Blues. Schofield came back to
win the 2nd game 4-2 as Andy Buege took the loss for CCV. The Blues only
managed to pick up 4 hits in game 2.

The Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues played a doubleheader, sort of, on Sunday.
They scored 36 runs and had 39 hits in winning a non-league game against
the Marshfield Chapparals and a MVL game against the Kendall Mustangs. In
the first game, against the Chapparals, CCV jumped ahead of Marshfield 8-2
after 3 innings, only to see the Chapparals tie the game 9-9 in the top of the 8th.
Fortunately, the Blues had some pop in their bats in the bottom of the 8th, scoring
3 runs to take the lead and win by a final score of 12-9. Adam Wershofen picked
up the win in relief of starter Evan Burr.
Game 2 was an ugly slufgest for Blues batters as they hammered Kendall pitching
for 24 runs on 24 hits. Getting the benefit of all that offensive support was CCV
pitcher Drew White.

June 23, 2007 NBC TOURNAMENT
The Chaseburg Coon Valley Blues defeated Norwalk in the semi-finals of the
NBC Tournament held in Coon Valley on Saturday, June 23rd. Nick Jones
picked up the win for the Blues. Leading the Blues at the plate was Sam
Henriksen who was 2 for 5 with a homerun. CCV faced the La Crosse Athletics
in the finals and lost 7-4. Dax Connely came on in relief for La Crosse in the
4th inning and pitched 6 innings of scoreless relief and also had 3 hits for the
Athletics. Sam Henriksen suffered the loss in relief for CCV. Both CCV and
La Crosse advance to the NBC State Tournament in Suak City on July 14th.

In the big MVL match up of the season so far, the CCV Blues hosted league
leading La Crescent on Sunday. La Crescent pounded out 15 hits off four
Blues pitchers to walk away with an easy 9-0 win. The Blues were only able to
get 5 hits off La Crescent starter Cory Meinking who pitched 8 scoreless innings
against his former team.

the 9th inning to take a 4-3 victory. Evan Burr took the loss for the Blues.

woes continued as they managed only 6 hits.

Chaseburg Coon Valley took an early 4-0 lead on the Bangor Redbirds and
increased the lead to 6-0 after 7 innings. But, the Redbirds were not going to
go away quietly and made the game close by scoring 2 in the 8th and 2 in
the 9th and had the tieing runs on base when the game ended. Nick Jones
picked up the win for the Blues with relief help from Sam Henrikson who came
on in the 9th. CCV nemesis Cory Nicolai took the loss for Bangor. Chris
Baldwin and Adam Husing lead the Blues 12 hit attack with 3 hits apiece.

Exeland traveled to Coon Valley to face the host CCV Blues in a doubleheader
on Saturday. Behind strong pitching and good defense, the Blues came away
with a sweep of the Braves. Drew White pitched a 5-hit complete game for his
5th victory of the season in game one. Sam Henriksen was 2-3 for CCV.
In game two, Andy Buege picked up the win, striking out 10 while walking 5 in
6 innings. Jason Weiker came on in relief in the 7th. Josh Schultz and Aaron
Martin both had two hits for the Blues.
