Blues victory. Drew White, of Decorah, IA, pitched 6 innings for the victory,
walking 2 and striking out 9. Adam Wershofen led the Blues with 3 hits.
Matt Hoff had 2 hits. Drew White threw out the tieing run from right field in
the top of the 9th inning.

Norwalk scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning for a come from behind
5-4 victory over the CCV Blues. Nick Jones pitched 7 strong innings for CCV.
Evan Burr (0-1), suffered the loss in relief. Matt Hoff and Kevin Wagner had
2 hits apiece for the Blues. The Blues travel to Winona to play the Chiefs on
Saturday, May 26th and to Exeland to face the Braves on Sunday, May 27th.

Behind strong pitching performances by Drew White and Evan Burr, the
Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues swept both ends of a doubleheader from
the Winona Chiefs. Andy Hoff came on in relief of White in the first game
and Burr pitched a complete game 4-hitter in game two. Combined, the
three CCV pitchers pitched 14 innings, allowing no earned runs and
allowing only 4 walks. Leading the way at the plate for the Blues were
Bailey Brueggen with a double, Josh Schultz with a couble and a homerun
and Matt Hoff with 3 hits, including a double.

The Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues split a doubleheader with Exeland on
Sunday. The Blues lost the first game 5-4 as Exeland's Adam Rothenbuhler
hit a 2out homerun in the bottom of the 7th for the win. Nick Jones took the
loss for CCV, pitching a complete game, striking out 8 and walking none.
In the 2nd game, Jason Weiker picked up the win with Adam Wershofen
getting the save. Ryan Manske's 2 rbi single capped a 6-run 3rd inning for
the Blues. Final score in the 2nd game was 7-5. 15 players made the trip
to Exeland and the Blues defense responded, committing only 1 error.

On the road againÉ For the 6th game in a row, the Blues traveledÉ Tonight
they faced the Rockton Tabs in La Farge. A flat tire and the La Crosse Tribune
caused a couple of CCV players to arrive either minutes before game time or
lateÉ But, the outcome was favorable for the CCV Blues that dayÉ Behind the
strong right arm of Andy Buege and some timely hitting, the Blues defeated
Rockton 3-2 in a MVL game. Buege picked up the win with relief help from Adam
Wershofen in the 8th. Andy Hoff's double with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 8th
inning provided the winning margin for CCV. Aaron Martin was 2-4 and Bobby
Raasch had a triple for the Blues.

In their first game at home after 6 straight on the road, the Blues played
a doubleheader against the Eau Claire Cavaliers. CCV lost both ends of the
DH, the first game by a score of 4-3 and the second 10-4. The first game
was given to the Cav's as the Blues defense collapsed, committing 5 errors.
Nick Jones started for the Blues and pitched well enough to win, giving up 5
hits, striking out 3 and walking 3. Evan Burr started game two for CCV.
The Leading hitter in game 1 was Adam Wershofen 2-4. In game 2, Chris
Baldwin 2-4, Andy Hoff 2-4 and Andy Tolvstad 2-3. The Blues record is now
5-4. Weather permitting, the Blues will play Bangor in an MVL game on
Sunday, June 3 at 3:00 in "The Park".

The short-handed Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues battled the La Crosse
Athletics on Wednesday evening at "The Park". The Athletics, behind a
16-hit attack defeated the Blues 7-6. The Blues received a good pitching
effort from Andy Hoff, who gave up three runs in the first inning, but then
settled down to only allow 1 more run in his 6 innings of work. Again, CCV
inefective at the plate, getting only 6 hits off of three Athletics pitchers.
Highlighting the Blues at the plate was Adam Husing who's 2-run HR in the
3rd made the score 3-2. The Blues fought back with 2 runs in the 9th to
make the final score 7-6.

a vocal and appreciative home crowd. Nick Jones ptiched 7 strong innings to
pick up his first win of the season. Evan Burr come on in relief in the 8th.
The Blues played strong defense, committing only 1 error. Josh Schultz led
the CCV 12-hit attach with 3 hits. The Blues improved their record to 6-5.

The CCV Blues used a 15-hit barrage to defeat the Black River Falls Mudcats
15-0 at "The Park" in Coon Valley on Saturday afternoon. Blues' pitcher Drew
White benefited from all the hit and run support to notch his 3rd win of the
season, pitching 6 scoreless innings, striking out 9. Leading hitters for the
Blues were Adam Wershofen (4 for 4 with 3 doubles), Adam Husing (HR), Ryan
Manske (2 for 3), Josh Schultz (2 for 3), Chris Baldwin (3 for 4), Andy Tolvstad
(2 for 2). The Blues return to action tomorrow, hosting Sparta Miller at 7:30
in a Mississippi Valley League Game.

A heavyweight fightÉ The battle between two TitansÉ The last one left
standing winsÉ That's about as close as you can get to describing last
nights' MVL game between the CCV Blues and Sparta Miller. On Legion
Chicken Q Sunday, The Blues hammered away at Sparta Miller pitching
pickingup 17 hits to defeat their arch rivals 13-8. Andy Buege started
on the mound for the Blues. Adam Wershofen came on in relief,
pitching the last three innings and picking up his 3rd save of the season.
Both teams combined for 21 runs, 29 hits and 8 errors. Josh Schultz was
3 for 5. Wershofen, Manske, Husing, Baldwin, Tolvstad and Henriksen all
had 2 hits for CCV. Adam Husing hit his 3rd HR of the season in the 3rd.
