Period Children's Activities

   A full schedule of 1860's activities for the enjoyment of children of all ages is offered at the event.  A partial list of typical activities includes:

Checkerboard                         Toy painting                            Yard games

Candle dipping                         Hoop toss game                     Stick horses   

Cornhusk Dolls                        Paper dolls                             Clothes pin dolls

Church dolls                             Bead stringing                       Embroidery samplers

 

   In addition, on Saturday morning in the main activity tent, there is a feature presentation of particular interest to youngsters and their families.
