The Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby has been in existence for 100 years with only  three families owning and operating the business from its inception. The funeral home has been serving families in Westby and the surrounding area for many years, and has established an excellent reputation in the community.

   The history of the Vosseteig Funeral Home dates back to 1898 when E.J. Sveen started the funeral home in Westby which bore his name. His sons continued to run the business until the firm was purchased by O.P. Anderson, and the name was changed to reflect new ownership. After his death, his son, Orrin, ran the business. In 1968, David L. Vosseteig purchased the funeral home and has continued to operate the business as the Vosseteig Funeral Home. In 1980, David's son, Jay, started assisting with funerals. In 1991, after graduating from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Mortuary Science, Jay returned to the Vosseteig Funeral Home.

   Together, David and Jay provide comfort to families following the death of a loved one. They have worked hard to build and maintain a good reputation and a high level of respect within the community and among their colleagues.
