If you need more excitement you can spend a day at the water parks in Wisconsin Dells, which is about a 35-minute drive.

You can go fishing for pan fish, perch, bass, bluegills and northern. Others can go to the largest flea market in central Wisconsin in Princeton, visit a large prairie flower and wildflower nursery, shop in the Amish community at their grocery store, two bakeries, flower and garden shops, and cheese factory. In nearby communities you will find quaint shops, great antiques, and unique restaurants.

Outdoor Enthusiasts
320,000 acres in Marquette County still has remaining primitive oak and pine forests, and vast grassy marshes it is a perfect spot for those who seek unspoiled beauty. Hiking, canoeing, biking and hunting opportunities abound. There are miles and miles of biking trails and the three bikes at the cottage can take you anywhere. This is a bird watchers paradise with migratory birds and one of the largest sand hill crane populations. For those who are into Geocaching, over 20 caches are within 10 miles of the cottage and hundreds more within 30 miles. Please note: Buffalo Lake is a lake for fishing, not for swimming.

Jewelry making or card making getaways. Get together 8 friends for a Friday night catered meal at the cottage, stay overnight, breakfast Saturday morning then make cards or jewelry, then Saturday afternoon out for lunch and Amish tour. Call for details!
