CBRs (Calculator Based Rangers) and CBLs (Calculator Based Labs)

We use CBRs and CBLs as much as possible in the classroom.  Both devices attach to a graphing calculator and allow students to obtain data, graph the data and make mathematical models of the data.  The CBR is a motion detector so you can get data from anything that uses motion.  We use bouncing balls, toy cars, pendulum swings, students' walking, and any other motion that we can come up with.  A CBL is also a gathering device except that it can have many probes attached to it to gather data from many different sources.  We use it for temperature cooling, light frequency, and ph in chemistry.  Listed below are some activities that we use in the classroom.  You can download these and use them as you need.
