1). Go to the math web site at: http://wisheights.k12.wi.us/math/
2) Click on the Teacher Resources button on the left hand side of the page. Then click on the “Internet” link.
3) Click on the Background link at the top of the page
4) Click on the link and you will see a table with 30-40 backgrounds to choose from.
Note: If you don’t like any of them, you are free to find one on the internet but you do it on your own time.
5) When you find the one you want, put your cursor on the middle of it and right click and hold your mouse button. A menu will come up. Go down to where it says “Save Image As”. Make sure you save it into your webpage folder.
6) Go into your web page file that you are working on. Go up to Format on the tool bar and go way down to “Page colors and Properties”. You will see a gray box with three tabs at the top. Select the middle one that says “Colors and Backgrounds”. Go down to where it says Use Image and check the box. Then go to your left and click on the button that says “Choose file”. Go to your directory and to your webpage folder to find the background file that you have saved there. Click OK and your background should fill your page.
7) Once the background is there, make sure that everything can be read EASILY and CLEARLY. You may have to change text color(s) and table colors.
1) Again you have to go back to the math web page. Go to Web Resources on the left hand side and click on that link.
2) We have put some web sites for you to go looking for appropriate
clip art (math related).
3) Either go to the “clip art web sites” or go to the math web sites. You should be able to find what you need.
4) Once you have the clip art you want, right click on the image. This will again bring up a menu for you to go down to “Save Image As”. Again, store it into your webpage folder.
5) To insert the clip art into your web page, go to the “Image button” and click on that. A grey box will come. Click on the Choose Image button to select the file that you want to insert. Make sure you go to your directory to get the image. Click OK, and you should see the image on your web page.
