Concerts, Workshops, Healing Circles & CDs

Sound Meditation Concerts are intended to facilitate resonance within the systems of those attending, thus supporting healing and greater harmony with nature and the elements of the universe. Roberta (Rahbi) may perform a Sound Meditation Concert solo, or be joined by other performers. The concerts consist of flowing improvisation within a protocol, utilizing carefully selected acoustic instruments to harmonize all energies present at the time. Concert protocols are based on specific patterns and harmonies appropriate to the season of the year. Inner healing is facilitated by evoking a state in which the listener can be more in tune with their own inner sense of well-being. This is a state similar to meditation in that it creates a connection to the higher self, and could potentially affect the emotional, spiritual, psychological, and physical levels.

The physical level may be balanced by creating resonance in the chakras, and the bodily organs. Chakras are centers that energetically interact with the environment and the universe to support the physical system. Large chakra-tuned quartz crystal bowls used during the concerts to support them in moving to a state of optimal function. In addition, instruments are used that relate to the five elements of the seasons and organs according to Oriental Medical theory. It is believed that each season has a pitch and element. For example, the element for Spring is wood, and according to Fabien Maman its pitch is "A." Its color green, and it is related to the Liver and Gall Bladder systems. So, in a simplified explanation, a Spring concert will incorporate the playing of wooden instruments in the Key of "A."

Spiritual balance is supported during the concerts by harmonies and overtones that induce the alpha and theta states associated with meditation and healing. Also, attention is paid to clearing the subtle bodies (or auras) where emotions and thinking patterns may create physical results. The various pulses in the body are brought into energetic harmony with the environment and universe. These include the heart system (circulation), the lungs (breathing) and the nervous system (neurotransmitters).

The end result of all of this is to support each person in discovering their own optimally working system. The concerts can be so very effective because the intuitive improvising is based upon the energies present in a given moment. The opportunity is being provided in a very conscious way of allowing the Divine to be present, and facilitating resonance with that presence.

Attendees should note that as with any healing modality, sound vibration may trigger a cleansing and purification process within your system. Most people find the sounds to be gentle, enjoyable and quite supportive of meditation, but certain individuals may find they are uncomfortable in some way. It is believed that this is the result of stress and stagnant energy being flushed from the system as it aligns more fully with its natural resonance and function. If any discomfort should occur during a concert, please feel free to step outside the area for a few moments to allow your system to more gently come to its own state of equilibrium.

After attending one of Rahbi's concerts, Constance Penhawks, a psychotherapist, recently commented "Listening to Rahbi, I felt more grounded and centered than I have in a month. with the crystal bowls, I felt I was the vibration." Another attendee, Duane Nelson, said " It is a sound so celestial that if you listen gently you can hear angels singing in the background. When you listen with your heart, Rahbi's music can bring tears of joy to your soul."

Experiential Workshops with Rahbi are tailored to the participants who attend. Usually they include an exploration of healing sound techniques and how they work, a shamanic healing circle with quartz crystal bowls and other instruments, discovering the power of one's own individual voice and much more!

Healing Circles may be created within the context of a workshop, or as a stand alone event. In a healing circle, an individual is surrounded by instruments of different pitch and quality that correspond to the chakras and specific organ systems. The intent of an entire group is focused on the recipient, providing the opportunity for a very powerful healing experience.

Rahbi travels as needed to conduct these healing events. To schedule an event with Rahbi, contact her by phone at (608) 637-6784 or email her by clicking here: Email Rahbi
