THE ROUND CORRAL
Job 35:11

Some people believe there are few things more beautiful than wild horses running free across the plain.  The wild horses, themselves, want none of man or captivity.

BUT, while they run free in the world, doing as they please, they slowly succumb to an untimely death.  It takes five to seven years for a horse to mature fully.  Many die before then.  Most die before they are 12 years old.  This is sad when you consider that domestic horses live to be 20 to 50 years old.

A life of freedom looks romantic at first glance, but a horse that knows no master is prey to large carnivorous animals and infestation by internal and external parasites.  They suffer intermittent starvation and thirst.  Their coats and tails collect seeds that turn their fly swatters into heavily matted logs.  A horse ripping across the plain is most likely running in fear or from torment.

Like a wrangler, Jesus comes to round us up and take us out of the world to care for us and give us a purpose.  We can respond much like those wild horses.  We struggle with leaving the only life we have known.  We fear what God may have in store for us, because we just don't know how good it will be.

Let Jesus capture your heart today.  He'll clean the burdock out of your life.  You will never thirst or hunger again, and His love will take away your fears.

HAVE YOU RECEIVED JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR?
If not, here's how you can!

Know that God loves you and sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins.

"For God so loved the world, that He sent His only begotten Son, that who ever believes in Him
should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Know that everyone is a sinner.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

Realize that the consequence of sin is spiritual death or eternal separation from God.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

Confess your sins to Christ, and ask Him to forgive you.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:19

Salvation is a free gift; there is nothing you can do to earn it.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8 & 9

Receiving Jesus as your Savior is the wisest choice you can make!  Praying the simple prayer that follows, or one similar to it, is all that is necessary to receive Christ as your personal Savior.

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness.
I believe that you died for my sins.  I want to turn from my sins.
I now invite You to come into my heart and life.
I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' name.  Amen.

If you prayed this prayer and received Jesus Christ as your Savior, YOU are a child of God.
*     Find a Bible, and begin reading the Gospel of John in the New Testament.
*     Talk to God every day in prayer.
*     Tell others about Christ.
*     Worship and fellowship with other Christians.  We will be glad to help you grow in Christ.
