Biography

        Suzanne Swanson Wagner is the owner and Artistic Director of Marilyn School of Dance.  She is well known for her talents as a dancer, a teacher of dance, choreographer.  Her extensive studies started at Marilyn School of Dance in La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA, and continued world wide.

       Mrs. Swanson Wagner's dedication to teaching has produced many successful students.  They have obtained many scholarships and have been competition winners.  Mrs. Swanson Wagner and her students have toured and performed across the United States and Dubna, Russia, and toured France.   
       Many of  Mrs Swanson Wagner's past students have performed on and off Broadway, danced professionally and have appeared in commercials and movies. 
       Mrs. Swanson Wagner has implemented a Teachers' Training Program for her staff that includes continuing education both in dance and the public relations.  Her future plans are to continue teaching area students in the traditions of the masters, and to provide professional opportunities; and to foster a better understanding and appreciation of the dancing arts to the community.
       Mrs. Swanson Wagner received the 1996 Who's Who Among America's Teachers Award.  This honor is presented to the best teachers in America for their excellence as distinguished educators.  She is a member of the Wisconsin Dance Alliance, Dance Masters of Wisconsin, and a board member of the  Chicago National Association of Dance Masters.
       Mrs. Wagner is the Artistic director and Founder of the Monroe-Jackson Dance Theatre for whom she has staged The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty.
