We have been raising
sheep on our small farm in Southwest Wisconsin for almost 20 years.
Ours is a down-scale operation, we keep a flock of 30 breeding ewes
and have 50 – 60 lambs to sell at the end of each season. We
like it this way. Each of our ewes is an individual and not just a
number. Our animals are not crowded; they have free range over several
pastures that we graze rotationally during the growing season. Because
of the low stress environment we can successfully raise lambs without
the use of antibiotics or growth stimulating hormones. We use pasture
rather than grain which keeps the energy input to our operation at
a minimum. Keeping with
our philosophy of simplicity and a belief that our farm business
should not be measured solely by accounting numbers but also by
relationship with our customers and our animals, we offer lamb meat,
fleeces and lamb skins directly from the farm. We encourage our
customers to come and visit, see our operation and enjoy our products.
We also can deliver within a reasonable radius of our location in
Richland County Wisconsin.
