Education Committee meets this Monday at 6:30 PM at the school.

Pastoral Council meets this Monday at 7:30 PM at the school.  First agenda item is the 1ST Annual Parish Steak Fry Fellowship/Holiday Fundraiser held last month (12/2) which netted the Parish $6,932 (roughly 57 % from auction items, 32% from food, 7% from gun raffles, 2% from tip boards, and 2% from cash donations).  A discussion item will be what, if any changes, for the 2nd Annual Parish Fundraiser this coming fall (i.e. an earlier date? continue the location at Retreat? more auction items? more raffles?).  All Parishioners are welcome to come and voice opinions.  Again thank you to those who came, did the planning, donated the auction items, and made the food appear and the other tasks at this successful inaugural event.  Second agenda item – how to better welcome and integrate new Parishioners.  We have had about five couples join in the last year.  Anyone willing to help organize a welcome and involvement committee, please come to the meeting Monday with ideas or events which could be helpful (i.e. a series of welcoming dinners at Parishioner homes? introductions at a Sunday mass? schedule the new parishioners as Readers or Eucharistic Ministers? etc.).

Finance Committee meets Tuesday January 22 at 7:30 PM.

Brosinski Fire Benefit Fundraiser This Saturday January 19, at 2 PM at the Stoddard American Legion Hall with free food, pop & beer - see the poster in the vestibule.  There will be kids’ games as well as an art table, variety of raffles, items to bid on for Silent Auction (wonderful baskets, etc.), and, a Live Auction beginning at 7 PM.  For anyone interested in donating a delicious baked item – pies and other specialty baked items will be auctioned off.  There will also be a bake sale with “plated up” bars/cookies, etc.  All items are welcome - for the bake sale and/or auction.  Any donations can be brought to the Stoddard Legion on Friday, January 18th or to Kathy Tully (689-3859) or to Cheryl Trussoni (689-2147).

Fr Schulte Cemetery Memorial:  The Cemetery Committee has ordered a beautiful Stone & Carving in Memorial of Fr Schulte for installation in the spring at a cost of $9,000.  This will add to the beauty and sacredness of the Cemetery.  Donations can be mailed to the parish or included in the collection basket identified as for the Memorial.  Total donations to-date:  $8350.  Any donations in excess of $9,000 will be used for perpetual care.
