Parish Youth Christmas Mass: Calling Parish Youth - if your family is planning to attend Mass on Christmas Eve at 4 PM, please consider taking part in the liturgy or the living Nativity Scene. There is something for everyone! Please volunteer and call Coordinator Cathy Stevenson at 648-3577.
January 1 is a Holy Day of Obligation (the BVM, the Mother of God): The vigil Mass is Monday at 4:00 PM and a 10:00 AM Mass on Tuesday, January 1.
No CCD/Confirmation Classes this Week
Last Call for Mass with the Pope at Yankee Stadium: Pope Benedict is visiting the United States next April. Bishop Listecki will concelebrate the Mass at Yankee Stadium on April 20. The diocese expects to receive an allocation of tickets for this Mass and is asking every Parish to submit Names of people interested in going. Please call Fr Roy if interested.
Fr Schulte Cemetery Memorial: The Cemetery Committee has ordered a beautiful Stone & Carving in Memorial of Fr Schulte for installation in the spring at a cost of $9,000. This will add to the beauty and sacredness of the Cemetery. Donations can be mailed to the parish or included in the collection basket identified as for the Memorial. Total donations to-date: $8030. Any donations in excess of $9,000 will be used for perpetual care.
RCIA Candidates: Anyone interested in fully joining the Catholic Church (Baptism, and/or Confirmation/Eucharist), please contact Father Roy at the rectory.
Natural Family Planning (NFP) Classes on Sunday afternoons January 20, February 10, and March 2, from 2:30-4:30 PM at Franciscan Skemp Hospital, Lang Conference Room.
Thank you’s from Pat Sanders Our School Chef Pat Sanders passes along many thanks for the new warmer/slow cooker the Quilters provided for the kitchen; also the Commercial Microwave the funeral luncheon ladies donated; and thanks to the Lions Club for the Pizzas on December 19 for the students.
Adopt A Door Program: Thanks to all who are donating to the Adopt a Door Program. The classroom doors are in and look beautiful. Next, we would like to replace the three bathroom doors at a cost of $2700. We have $1200 pledged toward this effort. Anyone interested in helping out can contact Lori George at 608-648-2024. These doors are scheduled to be installed just after the first of the year.
