Upcoming Committee Meetings:  Education Committee this Monday May 12 at 6:30 PM and the Pastoral Council the same day at 7:30 PM.

High School Graduates:  The 10:00 AM Mass on Sunday May 18 will be in prayer and celebration for the 2008 Graduates from St Charles Parish.  There will be cake, doughnuts and beverages served at the school after the mass to honor the 2008 Graduating Seniors from St. Charles Parish.  If anyone is able to help, please call Barb Zeimet at 648-2379.

Fr Schulte Memorial Dedication Mass on May 25 at 10 AM:  The Cemetery Committee is installing the beautiful Stone & Carving Memorial to Fr Schulte.   A short Dedication Program and Service will be at end of the 10:00 AM Mass and at the Cemetery followed by a Parish Meal at the School on Sunday May 25.  Please plan on attending and invite any former parishioners you know who had an affinity for Fr Schulte.  Note:  If anyone wishes to speak about Fr Schulte at the program, please call Larry Pedretti or Fr Roy.

The Diocese is again sponsoring 50^th and 60^th Wedding Anniversary Celebrations occurring during calendar 2008: Please call the rectory with this information as soon as possible and the diocese will send invitations directly to our couples.

$1000 Scholarship for any Parish 8^th Grader Planning to Attend Aquinas High School:  A River Bank $1000 tuition assistance scholarship is available for any Parish 8^th grader enrolling in Aquinas High School in the fall.  Call Fr Roy at rectory if interested.

May 18 St Elizabeth’s in Holmen will Fete Fr Malin’s 50 Years as a Priest  On May 24, 1958, Fr Del Malin was ordained a priest.  He celebrated a first solemn Mass the next day at St Charles Church, Genoa (his home Parish).  St Elizabeth’s (515 North Main Street, Holmen) has sent notice to us that a Mass and reception will be held on Sunday May 18 at 10:15 AM at St Elizabeth’s.  The reception is from Noon to 3 PM with a short program at 3 PM.  “Your presence will be your gift.  Please come and celebrate with Fr Malin and with us (St Elizabeth’s).”

Wendy’s Night  will be Tuesday, May 13^th – stop and eat with your family to support St. Charles School!

St. Charles PTO 52-Day Calendar Raffle:  It’s that time of year again!  The 52-day Calendar Raffle Tickets are on sale now.  Please contact a St. Charles School Family or Carrol in the St. Charles School Office for purchase of these tickets.  The ticket you purchase is entered into a drawing every day for 52 days.  You have the opportunity to win multiple times throughout the course of this raffle.  The drawings begin on July 4^th and end on August 24^th.  There will be forty-six $25.00 winners, three $50.00 winners, two $100.00 winners and one very lucky $1,000 winner!!  The cost of this ticket is $20.00.  Winners will be announced each week in the church bulletin.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lisa Moore at 689-2866.  Thanks again for your never-ending support of the St. Charles School PTO!

Holy Trinity in La Crosse (1333 S. 13^th St.) Chicken-Q Wednesday May 21 at 11 AM.  Also they are organizing bus trips to the Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson for May 28 and August 23 – call Arlene at 788-3440.  Note:  Their Survivors of Suicide meetings are now at the Franciscan Spirituality Center 920 Market Street in the Rose room every 3^rd Wednesday of the month from 7-9 PM.

Planned Giving Seminar Wednesday June 4 from 7:00-8:30 PM at Viterbo Reinhart Center room 107.  Topics will include Estate Planning and Charitable Giving.  Please RSVP by May 26 calling 608-784-0707.

Totus Tous “Totally Yours” at Blessed Sacrament School June 22-27:  Grade schoolers from 9 AM to 3 PM Monday to Friday; Middle and High Schoolers from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM Sunday – Thursday.  Cost is $20 - open to all Catholic youth but space is limited – to register early, call Pauline Connell at 782-2953.  Volunteers and snack makers needed.

School Year Extended:    St Charles School will be extended to Thursday June 5^th to make up missed days and to coincide with the De Soto School District
