July 4th Picnic
Preparations (1)
Volunteers are needed Saturday June 27 beginning at 9 AM and again on
Friday July 3 beginning at 5 pm to prepare dining room and grounds for the
picnic. On July 4th in the late afternoon, everyone is asked to stay
and help clean up the dining room and the grounds. Donation of dish and drying
towels appreciated.
(2) Please continue selling
the raffle tickets to friends and neighbors and buy some yourself- please
turn in all raffle tickets by 4 PM on July 4th.
(3) In response to the Pie/Donations letters, please return money donations in the Weekend Collection, or mail to rectory, or drop off at the school office in mornings (M-F).
(4) Three donation prizes (a large, medium and small) are needed for the Dice game. Prizes in the past have been a bike, CD players, MP3 players, bundle of fireworks, even cash amounts. Please call Chris Magnuson with donations or ideas - 457-2296.
(5) Please donate NEW craft items, white elephant items, and baked goods to the Country Store! If questions, please call Kathy Pedretti – 689-2384.
(6) Worksheet assignments were attached to last week’s bulletin – additional copies are available. Please double check to see where and what time your work assignment is. All workers pay for their dinners. If your name is not listed, please come and volunteer to whatever area needs help.
This wonderful picnic has become a part of St Charles Parish history – every parishioner must help. Please do your part to make visitors and guests feel welcome.
Education Committee Meeting This Tuesday June 23 at 6:30 PM.
Needed: School Cook. We have a part-time paid School Cook position open for the next school year starting in the Fall. Hours are 7 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday when the school is in session. If interested, please send a 1-page letter of experience to Fr Roy at the rectory (Box 130 Genoa, WI 54632).
Needed: School Cleaning/Janitorial Person. We have a part-time paid Janitorial position (in conjunction with volunteer assistance) of about 10 or more hours weekly during the school year, and less hours during the summer months. If interested, please call Fr Roy at the rectory (689-2646).
Genoa/De Soto American Legion Post 246 is having a catfish fry, featuring Beck’s famous catfish, Saturday, June 27. Serving 4-8 PM in Genoa Clubroom. KEEP OUR TROOPS IN YOUR PRAYERS.
Totus Tous “Totally Yours” at Blessed Sacrament School July 26-31: Grade Schoolers from 9 AM to 2:30 PM Monday to Friday – they bring a sack lunch; Middle/High Schoolers from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM Sunday – Thursday. Cost is $25 before July 1, $30 after - call Pauline Connell at 782-2953 ext.3.
St Peters Middle Ridge Picnic Sunday June 28 from 11:30 AM to 4 PM. Food, Bingo, horse wagon rides, games.
