Bank of Arcadia Chili Feed 

The bank of Arcadia has invited our school to earn extra money for education through the homecoming chili feed.  It will be held on Friday, October 2nd, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Arcadia High School commons.  Each family is asked to try to sell 2-3 tickets at $5.00 each (4 and under are free).  The school will receive 100% of the amount sold.  Please make checks out to the State Bank of Arcadia.  Tickets can be purchased the night of as well, just remind supporters to write "St. Boniface" on the back of the ticket. 

Please return unsold tickets to school.

Parents, you may also send emails to distant friends and family to shop on-line at www.qsp.com.  They will need the St. Boniface School ID # 425007559 if they want to order on-line; this will ensure the school gets the credit.

Mid 1st Quarter

This Friday, October 2nd, marks the midway point of the 1st quarter.  Mid quarter reports will be handed out at conferences on the 8th of October.

1st Quarter Conferences

It has been decided by the teaching staff, Father Klos and the education committee to have conferences at the mid-point of the 1st quarter.  This conference time will replace conferences that have traditionally been held at the end of the 1st quarter.

Having conferences at this point will allow parents to visit with their child's teacher to find out how their child's progressing at this point in quarter.  This can then allow time for students to make improvements as needed.

Conferences for mid 1st quarter will be held on Thursday, October 8th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Enclosed in this week's family folder is the registration form for conferences.  Please mark the time that will work best for your family. 

Please return this form as soon as possible so that the schedule for conferences can be made.

Conferences times will be sent home on Tuesday.

ITBS Testing

The Office of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of La Crosse has made the decision for students to take the ITBS test in the month of October.

St. Boniface will be administering the ITBS test the week of October 12th - 16th, and the week of October 19th - 23rd.

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

A letter of notification for free and reduced lunch has been placed in the family folders for families that applied for free and reduced lunch.

Applications can be submitted at anytime.

Lunch and Tuition Statements

Lunch and tuition statements for the school year are included in the family folders this week.  When making payments, please make checks out separately for tuition and lunch.

Forms, Forms, and More Forms

If you receive a form back in your family folder, please fill in the yellow high-lighted area and return it to school.  All forms must be filled out in their entirety before they can be submitted to the Diocese.

Plow Day

Plow day is scheduled for October 18th.  As in the past, we will be sponsoring our annual rummage sale at the Plow Fest with all proceeds going to St. Boniface School.

Annegret has graciously offered to coordinate the garage sale this year.  However, she is in need of lots of help to make the sale a success.  If you are available to help set up, work at the sale of take down and pack up at the end of the sale, please contact Annegret and offer her your help.

Please start looking for those unwanted, outgrown items!  Donation can be brought to the farm across from Harmonia Park starting October 15th.

Music Lesson with Sister Mary Jo Baldus

Sister Mary Jo Baldus will again be offering music lessons here at St. Boniface School.  These lessons are offered for a fee that is paid directly to Sister Mary Jo.  If you are interested in your child taking piano or guitar lessons, please contact Sister Mary Jo directly at 1-507-453-9474. 

Hearing and Vision Screening

Nursing students from Southeast Technical College in Winona will be providing hearing and vision screening to all the students of St. Boniface on Monday, October 5th and Monday October 12th.

The hearing and vision screening will be provided free of charge.
