PUBLIC HEARING
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADOPTION

    NOTICE is hereby given that the Town of Fountain Comprehensive Planning Committee and Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing Monday December 21, 2009 at 6:00 PM at the Town of Fountain Hall, W9921 Jacobsen Road.

    The Town of Fountain’s Comprehensive Plan will guide the future growth and development in the Town of Fountain. The comprehensive plan contains the nine required elements required by Wisconsin State Statute 66.1001 including:

    • Issues & Opportunities Element
    • Housing Element
    • Transportation Element
    • Utilities & Community Facilities Element
    • Agricultural, Natural, & Cultural Resources Element
    • Economic Development Element
    • Intergovernmental Cooperation Element
    • Land Use Element
    • Implementation Element

Board Meeting Minutes

December 8, 2009

Meeting called to order by Chairman Wayne Olson (WO) at 6:30 P.M. Mark Stauffacher (MS), Kim Perz(KP), Ray Kriegl (RK), Wayne Olson(WO) and Paulette Bradley(PB) answered roll call. John Wenum is present.

RK made a motion to accept the minutes from the November 10, 2009 , 2nd by MS, all ayes.
RK made a motion to accept the minutes from the Budget Hearing on November 19, 2009, 2nd by MS, all ayes.

Bob and Maureen Fox were present regarding the Comprehensive Plan. The open hearing for the Comprehensive Plan is on December 21, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. Clerk to send information to the Foxes. RK needs a copy of the Comprehensive Plan.

MS makes a motion to move Building Inspector discussion ahead of the correspondence on the agenda, to accommodate Todd Kellner who has come from Reedsburg to discuss working for the Town of Fountain. Board reviewed information from General Engineering who have the current State Contract and information from Todd Kellner regarding UDC inspections. MS made a motion to appoint Todd Kellner the down of Fountain UDC Inspector, 2nd by RK, all ayes. PB to contact the Dept of Commerce and inform them of our selection. Todd Kellner asked for a copy of our ordinance adopting the UDC Code, PB to send it.

Board had a plague to award Arris Sullivan for years of service, but Arris was not present. Board tabled until the January 12th meeting.

Budget Resolution 1-2009 was presented to the board. MS approved the budget resolution, 2nd by RK, all ayes.

MS made a motion to purchase a UniBody for $2,000 plus 700.00 to 800.00 to pain the bed of the truck, RK 2nd, all ayes

Discussion was brought up on a new copier. Tomah can provide a copier for about $1000.00 a table top laser. A+ Imaging has a stand alone unit for . Table the copier discussion until January Meeting.

RK made a motion to hire Shane Braund to set up a new website and maintain it, MS 2nd, all ayes.

MS made a motion to donate our old copier to Lend a Hand, 2nd by RK, all ayes.

RK made a motion to accept the contract with the Camp Douglas Rescue for 2010, 2nd by MS, all ayes.

Discussion of Carl F. Nelson April Wine Testing Aquarian Gardens, Update from State of Wis DOR about Picnic Licenses. This is not an allowable process, Wayne to contact Roger Johnson of the DOR and get this in writing.

RK made a motion to pay the bills, MS 2nd , all ayes.

Motion to adjourn by MS, 2nd by RK, all ayes. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 P.M.
