Golden Alexander
Zizia aurea

Golden Alexanders (Zizia aurea ) occurs naturally on moist soils along shaded roadsides and woods' edges. These perennials grow 2-3 feet tall and have flat-topped clusters of tiny yellow flowers which bloom in May and June. Use these plants for spring color in a shaded border or naturalized area. Like other members of the parsley family, Golden Alexanders will self sow and can become weedy.
