FURTHER CLARIFICATION OF SERVICES
Environmental Engineering: Woodland Consultants, Inc. has the expertise and manpower to guide the operation of landfills and document construction of various phases of landfills. The firm also samples monitoring wells for analysis. Client representa-tion before regulatory agencies at public hearings and litigation cases is furnished.
Civil, Sanitary, Street and Highway, Storm Water Drainage and Utility Engineering: including design of urban streets, rural highways, drainage structures, storm sewer systems, sanitary sewer systems, water supply and distribution facilities, sewage lift stations, earthwork projects, erosion control projects and utility extensions. Construction stakeout of projects is furnished.
Structural Engineering: including structural analysis and design of buildings, structures, or specific components of wood, steel, masonry or concrete.
Feasibility Studies and Reports: include the layout, design and field work to properly study the project and provide cost estimates for construction. Capital improvement programs for municipalities can be prepared. Studies and reports on engineering and surveying matters for lawyers, insurance companies and others can be provided.
Construction Supervision: including part-time or full-time construction observation to determine conformance to plans and specifications, assure proper workmanship and to verify progress payments.
Wastewater Monitoring and Reports: for Department of Natural Resources requirements. Discharge permits, applications, monitoring forms and whey management plans are prepared. Proper techniques are used at the site to assure representative samples.
Land Surveying: services include a full range of surveying from mortgage surveys for small parcels to planning, platting and mapping of large land developments. All necessary expertise and equipment for preparation of subdivision plats in urban, rural or industrial areas. Experience in preparation of assessors maps of cities and villages. Horizontal and vertical control surveys and topography surveys are provided. Flood elevation determinations for insurance purposes are provided.
Section Corner Restoration: including research of past records, field investigations and surveying control to reestablish original section corners that have been lost or destroyed over the years. Necessary computations to assure proper location and after restoring the corners, tie sheets are prepared and recorded for future reference.
Materials Testing: of road base construction materials and soils to determine in place compaction, atterberg limits, shrinkage limit, gradation, optimum density and moisture content. Field pH, chlorine content and field specific conductivity can be obtained directly for water samples. Methane content of air samples can be obtained.
Municipal, Commercial, and Industrial Building Design: Our staff has experience in numerous building design projects for a full range of project uses. Services available range from preliminary space studies and drawings to final details for construction. Construction specifications and contract documents are available for projects. Construction observation is provided as required by the client. Mechanical design for heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems is available through subconsultants regularly used by our firm. Designs are energy efficient. We are experienced in new buildings, additions, remodelling and alterations.
