Battle Reenactments

Reenactments of significant Civil War battles are staged on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the Kronshage Park military encampment.  These battles involve artillery duels, cavalry skirmishes, and infantry fights.   While limitations of manpower and space prevent exact replications, every attempt is made to portray the essential elements of the original confrontations on a representative scale.  Reenactors pride themselves in their knowledge of the Civil War era and they strive to portray these battles with as much realism as possible.  Many of the firearms and much of the equipment used are artifacts, some actually having seen service during the Civil War.
