Ladies' Garden Party
Saturday afternoon, in the yard of one of the charming historical homes of Boscobel, ladies in Civil War era dresses are served period refreshments at a formal garden party. It is an opportunity for them to sit and relax while discussing the trying times of the great struggle gripping the nation. It is also an opportunity for sidewalk spectators to observe an elegant 1860's social gathering. The ladies are entertained by the soft sounds of early American music played on instruments of the period such as violins, dulcimers, and harps.
