Adolescent Group HomesWhen circumstances require that children be placed outside the home, Coulee Youth Centers, Inc. can accommodate that need. For thirty years Coulee Youth Centers has been operating quality homes. Currently Coulee Youth Centers offers three group homes: Tenneson House, Century House, and Braun House. Coulee Youth Centers works to create a stable, consistent, non-institutional environment to allow troubled youth the greatest opportunity of becoming well-adjusted, contributing members of society. Coulee Youth Centers, Inc. group homes are staffed with qualified group home counselors, who are trained to provide caring, yet effective, guidance to each individual resident. Each group home is supported by both Coulee Youth Centers' social workers and office administration to provide as many resources and services as possible. Coulee Youth Centers, Inc. assigns an on-site therapist to immediately begin working with each new resident. A full AODA staff is maintained to work weekly groups with those residents struggling with chemical dependency issues. All group homes work cooperatively with any and all recommenced behavior modification programs for the residents. Coulee Youth Centers' goal is that each resident learns to make positive choices and to recognize how those choices affect both the resident and the people that care for them. Each resident works within a level system to help motivate and build confidence in specific areas that are dependent on the resident. Each resident is treated as an individual, yet is expected to work cooperatively within the group home family. It is the unique dedication that Coulee Youth Centers' staff has toward helping young people achieve their dreams that make our programs so effective. |
