- Necedah Fish and Wildlife Refuge
- 40,000 acres administered by the US Fish and
Wildlife Service. 200 species of birds, and white tail deer nest and breed
here. Hiking and cross-country skiing are permitted on designated trails.
Auto touring is permitted along township roads only. Hunting is permitted in
certain areas of the refuge during portions of the state hunting season.
Fishing is permitted on certain refuge waters. Berry picking is permitted July
1 through August 15. Blueberries are the most sought after berry.
