     "Mom! Dad! Someone was in here! Come quick! Hurry!"
     We scurried out of bed and ran to see what she meant. Kathryn snored loudly in her bed next to Becky's. The strings of Christmas lights burned brightly around the windows and the room was gaily aglow. Becky sat up stiffly in bed.
"I saw her." Her voice held an empty echo.
     "Who?" I demanded.
     "A lady. Dressed up in pretty clothes. She was standing next to Kathryn's bed by the wall there." Becky pointed to where she had seen the lady. 
     "Are you sure?" Beth asked. "You may have been dreaming."
     "I'm positive," Becky nearly shouted. "I was sleeping and something made me wake up. I opened my eyes and there she was, standing and looking at us for a long time. The lights were on. I saw her plainly. It really wasn't a dream!"
